Long Preemie Jumpsuit

Materials:
F hook (G hook for 5 lb size)
Simply Soft yarn by Caron or a soft lightweight 4 ply yarn...

Quick and easy to do!

Chain 42, turn.
1. Single crochet (sc) in each ch (chain) across, ch 2, turn.
2. double crochet (dc) in each of the first 6 stitches, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next stitch,
dc in each of the next 6 stitches, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next stitch,
dc in each of next 13 stitches (dc, ch 2, dc) in next stitch,
dc in each of the next 6 stitches (dc, ch 2, dc) in next stitch,
dc in each of remaining stitches, chain 3, turn
(note: the (dc, ch 2, dc) forms the front and back of the armholes)
3-6. dc in each stitch, in chain 2 space, (dc, ch 2, dc), repeat across row, ch 3, turn.
7. This row forms the armholes: dc in each stitch, 1 dc in space, ch 4, dc in next
Space, dc in each stitch, 1 dc in next space, ch 4, dc in each remaining stitch.
Join by slip stitch into top of chain 3 at first of row, ch 3, do NOT turn.
8. dc in each stitch and ch around, join to top of ch 3 with a slip stitch, ch 3
9-16. dc in each stitch around, join to top of ch 3 with a sl st (slip stitch)

Legs
Find center front of round (you should be at center back, count the number of stitches in the round, divide by 2, this gives you center front) Loop a short piece of yarn in the center front st.
1. Ch 4, dc into center front stitch, dc in each stitch around the first leg opening,
Dc in each chain, join with sl st to top of first dc of round. (this makes the Division between the two legs) Chain 3, do NOT turn, you want all of your Stitches to face to the front
2. dc in each stitch, join with sl st to top of ch 3, ch 3, do not turn
3-7. dc in each stitch, join with sl st to top of ch 3, ch 3, do not turn.
8. dc in first stitch, decrease (dec) by dc 2 stitches together, repeat around, join to top of chain 3, chain 1, do not turn
9. sc in each stitch around, join with sl st to top of chain 1, ch 1
10. sc in each stitch around, join with sl st to top of chain 1. Fasten off.

Sleeves
1. fasten yarn to an underarm stitch. Ch 3, evenly dc around armhole, join with sl st to top of ch 3. ch 3, do NOT turn.
2. dc in each stitch around, join with sl st to top of ch 3, ch 3, do not turn.
3-8. dc in each stitch around, join with sl st to top of ch 3, ch, do not turn
9. Decrease this row by * dc 2 stitches together, dc * around, join by sl st to top of Ch, ch 1.
10. Sc in each stitch around, join with sl st in ch 1, ch 1
11. sc in each stitch around, join with sl st in ch 1, fasten off.

Ties at Neck
Ch 35, sc in first stitch of first row of neck, sc in each stitch across neck, ch 35, fasten off. Tie into small bow at back neck.
Weave in all ends.
