Easy Baby Booties

thank you to Kelli Johnson for the picPattern donated by JaySews
I have made these booties and they work up very qiuck and easy.

Materials: Size H hook, 1 strand of 4 ply yarn or 2/3 stands of baby yarn.

Booties are made in rounds

R1) Ch 12, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 9 sts, 3 sc in end ( toe ) st, continue along the other side of the chain, sc in next 10 sts, 3 sc in end.
R2) Sc in each sc, 3 sc at end of each row
R 3,4 and 5 ) Sc in each sc around, DO NOT increase.
R6) Sc in each sc, dec 3 sts at toe, sc in each st to heel.
R7) Repeat R6
R8) Repeat row 6, at heel join with sl st and chain 3
R9)* Skip 1 sc, hdc in next sc, ch 1 repeat from * around, join with sl st and ch 1
R10) * Sc in ch 1 sp, ch 1 repeat from * around, join with sl st and fasten off. Weave in ends.

Note from JaySews: After row 10, she makes another row, ch 1 hdc in each space, making the bootie a little higher and not so plain. Also for Preemie she uses the same hook but instead of 4 ply yarn she uses 3 ply, baby yarn or fingering yarn wich makes a much smaller bootie. The pattern is very easy, you dont have to count sts or sew them together.
