Christmas Shell Dress

Materials:
TLC worsted weight yarn in Burgandy and White
size G hook
3 Buttons

Finished measurements is from underarm to underarm (laying flat) 8", Shoulder to bottom hem 10", Underarm to hem 7", Neck to sleeve hem 6"
I left this dress open down the back, you could attach it together and make the skirt one piece.
**(Please remember that different yarns, different size hooks and also depending on your tension this pattern will come out to different sizes...)

Sweater

Row 1.) With Burgandy, ch 40, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, *(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch)*, dc in next 6 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in next 10 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in next 6 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in last 5 ch.

Row 2.) Ch 2, turn, *(dc to next ch sp, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in ch sp,)* Repeat to end.

Rows 3.-5.) Repeat row 2

Row 6.) ch 2, turn, dc to ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, skip sts to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, dc to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, skip next sts to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, dc to end, change to White. ( Armholes made)

Row 7.) Ch 2, dc in same st, dc in the next 10 st, 2 dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 10 st, 2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 9 st, 2 dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st, dc in the next 10 st, 2 dc in the top of ch 2.

Row 8.) Ch 2, turn, 1 dc in the same st, *( sk next st, sc in next st, sk next st, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the next st,)* repeat across. End with 2 dc in top of the ch 2.

Rows 9.) ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, *( 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the next sc, sc in the next ch 1 sp (sc around the whole ch) )* repeat across, ending with sc in top of th ch 2.

Rows 10.-21.) Repeat rows 8 & 9, alternating. At end of row 21, fasten off, weave in end.

Sleeves

Row 1.) Attach White under arm, ch 2, dc in next st, 20 dc in evenly around, (counting ch 2, this makes 21 dc), sl st in top of first dc, ch 2, DO NOT TURN.

Row 2.) dc in the same st, *( sk next st, sc in th next st, sk next st, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the next st)* repeat across. End with 2 dc in last st, ch 1, sl st in top of the ch 2, ch1, DO NOT TURN.

Rows 3.) ch 1, turn, sc in the same st, *( 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in the next sc, sc in the next ch 1 sp (sc around the whole ch) )* repeat across, ending with sl st in the beginning sc, ch 2, DO NOT TURN.

Rows 4. & 7.) Repeat rows 2 & 3, Alternating rows.

Row 8.) Ch 2, *(sc in the next ch sp, dc in the next sc st)*, repeat around, end with sl st in top of ch 2, Fasten off, Weave in end.

Repeat for second sleeve.

Trim

Starting on left side at Burgandy, with white sc up this side 3 sc in corner, sc around neck to next corner, 3 sc in corner, sc in next st, *(ch 3 sc in same st,)*, sc in next 2 st, repeat *( )*, sc in next 2 st, repeat *( )*, sc to the end of the white sl st in last white st, fasten off, weave in end. 3 Button holes made. Then starting at the White attach the Burgandy and sc around, putting 3 sc in each corner, sl st at the end of the white. (of course you make trim this the way you would like to)

Attach buttons on the left side.
