Candy Corn Sweater

Materials:
Red Heart Worsted Weight yarn in White, Yellow and Orange
Size G hook (finished size will fit a 4-5 lb. baby)
3 Buttons

Finished measurements on this sweater is from shoulder to hem is 9", laying flat from underarm to underarm is 7 1/4", from neck to sleeve hem is 7", but of course this depends on how you crochet.
**(Please remember that different yarns, different size hooks and also depending on your tension this pattern will come out to different sizes...)

Sweater

Row 1.) With White, ch 40, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, *(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch)*, dc in next 6 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in next 10 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in next 6 ch, repeat *( )*, dc in the last 6. (This is to overlap because of the candycorn buttons or buttons.)

Row 2.) Ch 2, turn, *(dc to next ch sp, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in ch sp,)* Repeat to end.

Rows 3.-5.) Repeat row 2

Row 6.) ch 2, turn, dc to ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, skip sts to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, dc to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, skip next sts to next ch sp, 1 dc in ch sp, dc to end, change to Orange. ( Armholes made)

Row 7.) ch 2 turn, dc in next 9 st, 1 dc in next st, ch 1, dc in next st, dc in next 20 st, 1 dc in next st, ch 1, 1 dc in next st, dc to end.

Row 8.) ch 2 turn, *(dc to ch sp, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in ch sp)*, Repeat to end.

Rows 9.-12.) Repeat row 8. At end of Row 12 change to Yellow.

Rows 13.-16.) Repeat row 8. At the end of Row 16 Fasten off and weave in end.

Sleeves

Row 1.) Attach White under arm, ch 2, dc in next st, dc in each st around, change to Orange, sl st in top of first dc, ch 2, DO NOT TURN.

Row 2.) DC in joining and in st around, sl st in top of first dc ch 2, DO NOT TURN.

Rows 3.-5.) Repeat Row 2. At the end of Row 5 change to yellow.

Rows 6. & 7.) Repeat Row 2.

Row 8.) *(Decrease sc over next 2 st)*, repeat around, Fasten off, Weave in end.

Repeat for second sleeve.

Trim

Starting on left side at white, with white sc up this side 3 sc in corner, sc around neck to next corner, 3 sc in corner, sc in next st, *(ch 3 sc in same st,)*, sc in next 2 st, repeat *( )*, sc in next 2 st, repeat *( )*, sc to the end of the white sl st in last white st, fasten off, weave in end. 3 Button holes made. (of course you make trim this the way you would like to)

Attach buttons on the left side.
